Beaches and Surf Spots

Godrevy

Epic Waves Await Godrevy, the most exposed stretch of St Ives Bay, offers some of the best surfing conditions. It's known for picking up substantial swells, but it can also be affected by strong winds. Despite the challenging conditions, the waves here can be truly epic for experienced surfers.

Praa Sands

On the southern coast of Cornwall lies the renowned Praa Sands, a beloved surfing destination. It's no secret, and on days when the wind comes from the north, and the southern swell beckons, surfers flock to this spot. Praa Sands boasts a substantial beach, and its waves are often heavier than those on the north coast, offering thrilling and hollow rides for surfers seeking a challenge.

Gwithian

Perfect for All Gwithian Beach caters to surfers of all levels, making it a fantastic family-friendly destination. With a consistent swell, it's an ideal spot for year-round surfing adventures. When you need a break from the action, explore the fascinating rock pools and caves along the shoreline. Additionally, Gwithian is a popular hub for kitesurfing and windsurfing, adding even more excitement to your coastal escape.

Sennen

Cornwall's Western Gem Head west to Sennen Cove, Cornwall's most westerly surf hotspot. Here, massive rollers create excellent surfing opportunities. If you're not into surfing, designated safe areas for swimming are clearly marked. For those eager to learn how to ride the waves, the Sennen Surfing Centre is your go-to spot. With its long sandy beach and charming small harbour, Sennen seamlessly blends the atmosphere of a working fishing port with laid-back surf style.

Porthmeor Beach, St Ives

A Surfer's Sanctuary Porthmeor Beach, situated in the enchanting town of St Ives, offers a unique surfing experience. While it may not pick up as much swell as most north coast beaches, it has its moments, providing powerful and hollow waves when conditions align. One notable advantage is its north-facing orientation, which makes it an excellent choice when the prevailing southwest winds are offshore

Porthleven

The Reefs' Challenge Porthleven is a renowned surf haven, but it's not for the faint of heart. The best waves break over the reefs on either side of the harbour entrance. Keep in mind that the water here can have strong undercurrents, so it's advisable for strong swimmers only. Always check local surf reports to assess the conditions before diving in.
